Our crazy cheesy, sourdoughy, mouth watery combinations have come a long way since being brought to life from creator John Wm. Macy in his small California kitchen.

  Forty years later, the heart of our brand still comes from the kitchen with our growing family of employees still doing what they do best in the name of good food, good people, and good times and we hope you go grab a table and enjoy.

1976

John starts Easy Cook Eaty and creates the original CheeseSticks recipe

1977

John sells CheeseSticks at county fairs and carnivals along the California coast

1979

John moves to New York City

1982

John installs a small commercial oven and dough sheeter in his walk-up East Village  apartment and the first CheeseSticks "snack  factory" takes shape

1985

John Wm. Macy's CheeseSticks opens for business from a small leased storefront on New
York's Lower East Side

1990

Company moves to New Jersey
and John’s brother Tim joins the business & National distribution begins

2015

John & Tim Macy inducted to Specialty Food Association Hall of Fame

2019

John Wm. Macy’s introduces
Grilled Crostini Toasts
