Ingredients:
· 2 lbs shrimp
· 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
· 2 ½ cups flour
· 1 tsp salt
· ½ tsp garlic powder
· ½ tsp onion powder
· ¼ tsp paprika
· 1 cup crushed Chipotle & Cheddar Cheesecrips
· Canola oil for frying
Boom Boom Shrimp:
· 1 cup mayonnaise
· ¼ cup Brianna’s Sriracha Honey Ginger Marinade
· 1 tsp salt
· ½ tsp garlic powder
· Pinch of cayenne
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the boom boom sauce: mayonnaise, Sriracha Honey Ginger Marinade, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne. Mix well until combined, and set aside.
2. In a large dutch oven, preheat 1-2” of cooking oil to 375F
3. Add the shrimp to a large bowl with the buttermilk. Let sit for 10 minutes, or until your oil is fully heated.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and crushed cheesecrisps.
5. Remove shrimp from the buttermilk and fully coat in the flour mixture, before placing them in the oil. Fry in batches of a few shrimp at a time for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly golden.
6. After removing from the oil, toss your shrimp in the boom sauce. Serve warm and enjoy!
